Everyone: Demand Organic
Organic is something we can all partake of and benefit from.
When we demand organic, we’re demanding poison-free food.
We’re demanding clean air.
We’re demanding pure, fresh water.
We’re demanding soil free to do its job and seeds free of toxins.
We’re demanding our children be protected from harm.
We all need to bite the bullet and do what needs to be done – buy organic whenever we can, insist on organic, fight for organic and work to make it the norm.
We must make organic the conventional choice and not the exception available only to the rich and educated.
All of us have to stand together and stand strong for food that’s safe and affordable for all.
Alone, we are tiny ripples in a pond.
Together, we’re the waves that can turn stone into sand.
Together, we can create a delicious and healthy future for everyone.
We still have a choice of the future that will be ours, but we need to make our choice quickly.
I’ve made my choice.
We’re all afraid of change – especially when we can’t see the outcome.
In business and life, it’s a leap of faith.
You may not know exactly where you’ll land, but you have to believe you’ll land somewhere good.
Sometimes you just have to jump.
A major barrier to change is the hard time we have making connections – understanding, for instance, soil and how we grow our food matter in ways personally affecting us.
Usually the phrase “everything is connected” sounds mystical.
It’s easy to discredit mystics and say they’re abnormal, ungrounded, or crazy.
But in nature, everything truly is connected, including us, because we’re part of nature, too.
It’s like one of those hidden-picture puzzles – it’s there, we just have to train our eyes and minds to see it that way.
There’s nothing mystical about it.
Today, we can email people in China or call them on the phone and get an immediate response.
We’re all connected, and we have no excuse for remaining ignorant about those connections and what they mean to us and our future.
Nature creates everything.
Nature gives everything.
Nature takes everything away.
Nature feeds us, clothes us, shelters us.
We, as part of nature, can invent cool stuff from nature.
When we destroy nature, we’re destroying ourselves.
Nature is beyond faith, beyond religion, beyond politics, beyond race.
Nature just is, and we just are part of it, too.
We don’t have to figure out how to control it; we just have to learn how to work together.
Doing nothing is not an option anymore.
We can be a beacon of hope for the rest of the world.
But we need the whole world to join us in our reformation.
Because we’re all in this together.
Ultimately, we’re all one tribe.
We have a choice.
Which future will we choose?
We can’t afford incremental change.
We need transformative change.
We need an organic revolution.
Our survival depends on it.
